Fatos que ficaram na história "Facts that stand out in history"

Desde a primeira Copa do Mundo, houve fatos marcantes, não só realcionados com o futebol, que de alguma maneira chamaram a atenção de todos, resolvemos então relembrar alguns deles:

• A primeira Copa do Mundo, em 1930, aconteceu junto a uma situação marcante para todo o mundo: o Crash da Bolsa de Nova York, em 1929, avançou para muitos países e dificultou a ida das seleções européias para o torneio, já que a sede era do outro lado do Atlântico, no Uruguai. A consequência foi um torneio com apenas treze seleções, sem eliminatórias, na qual a final foi decidida entre o próprio Uruguai e a Argentina e o país sede foi campeão.
• Na copa de 1950 com a Europa ainda se reerguendo da Segunda Guerra não restaram opções de sede para a FIFA a não ser o Brasil que era o único candidato. Construímos então o grande e imponente Maracanã, países que seriam fortes no torneio não participaram, facilitando o caminho do Brasil para a vitória e aumentando ainda mais a expectativa da nação, porém surpreendentemente o Brasil, que só precisava de um empate perdeu para o Uruguai de dois a um e o maior estádio do mundo se cala numa mistura de decepção e tristeza.



• Fato importantíssimo para nosso país foi a primeira vitória em uma copa, em 1958, mas não é somente esse o mérito do fato, na verdade foi nessa copa que surgiu o grande Pelé que juntamente com Didi foram as grandes estrelas e importantes símbolos para os africanos, num momento de afirmação racial.
• Já na final da Copa de 1986, tivemos um dos lances mais polêmicos de todas as copas: o famoso gol de mão do Maradona, pela Argentina contra a Inglaterra, ajudou na vitória de dois a um do país sul-americano sobre o europeu. Se Deus é brasileiro, nesse lance foi argentino e deu, literalmente, uma mãozinha para eles!
• "Vôo da Muamba", assim ficou conhecido o episódeo ocorrido em 1994 após o tetra campeonato brasileiro. O avião que trazia a equipe brasileira após a vitória da copa nos Estados Unidos chega ao Brasil com dezessete toneladas de produtos importados e o presidente da CBF ameaça cancelar o desfile da seleção caso a Receita Federal vistoriasse a carga.
• Para fechar a nossa seleção de fatos marcantes temos a famosa cabeçada do Zidane, a agressão foi na última copa, 2006, na final entre a França e a Itália. O zagueiro italiano Materazzi discutiu com o meia francês Zidane que não conseguiu conter sua irritação e agrediu com a cabeça o outro jogador, resultado: Zinedine Zidane foi expulso da decisão, deixando sua carreira de maneira vergonhosa e a Itália levou o título.

"Since the first World Cud, there hava beem many milestones, not onlu related to football, that cought everyone's attention, so we decided to recall some of them:

• The first World Cup in 1930 happened during remarkable situation for everyone: the Clash of the New York Stock Exchange in 1929 wich effected many countries and hindered many European teams' way to the tournament, since the site on the other side Atlantic, in Uruguay. The result was a tournament with only thirteen teams, no playoffs, were the final was decided between Uruguay and Argentina with the host country as champion.
• The World Cup in 1950, Europe still stirred up from the Second World War left Brazil as the only remaining candidate for host. The large and imposing Maracanã was built, many countries that should have been strong in the tournament were not, paving the way for victory for Brazil and further increasing the expectation of the nation. Surprisingly, Brazil, wich only needed a draw to win the title, lost to Uruguay two to one and the largest stadium in the world remained silent in a mixture of disappointement and sadness.
• Important indeed for our country was the first World Cup victory in 1958. Not only because of the victory though, because it was at this cup that the great Pelé became famous worldwide. Pelé, along with Didi were the major stars and important symbols for black people at a time of racial affirmation.
• In the World Cup final of in 1986, we had one of the most controversial shots of all, the famous goal of hand by Maradona of Argentina against England that helped the South American country win two to one over the European. If God is Brazilian, for this shot he was Argentine and gave, literally, a hand to them!
• "Flight of Muamba", is the well known episode in 1994 after the 4th time Brazilian was champion. The plane that brought the Brazilian team after winning the cup in the United States arrived in Brazil with seventeen tons of imported products and the CBF president threatened the cancel the show to let the IRS inspect the cargo.
• To close our selection of important events we have the famous head butt of Zidane. This aggression was in the last World Cup of 2006, in the final between France and Italy. The Italin defender Materazzi discussed with the French midfielder Zidane, who coulnd't contain his irritation and head-butted another player. The result: Zinedine Zidane was sent off, ending his career shamefully, and Italy took the title.
